You asked for this, so here goes: Four week on-camera class with not one, but TWO coaches to four students. This class will focus on getting comfortable in front of the camera, specifically doing commercial copy. My co-coach will be Ian Weiss, an Awesome Freelance Casting Director. Ian has cast such notable commercials and campaigns as Life Cereal, WebMD, Advair, Bank of America, Campbell’s Soup, BMW, Nike, Bayer, and the list goes on – not to mention the gazillion Voice-Over commercials he’s cast as well!!! Why is it great studying with a Freelancer who not only casts, but SETS UP sessions at the various houses? Because like me, he gets to call in his fav’s!!!! Not many Casting Directors get to set up the sessions; they just walk in and go. Not=2 0us. If we think you’re great, we get to call you in!!!! We will also be available for private coaching on Wednesdays before class, for anyone who needs to prepare for monologues, commercial copy, and/or audition sides. PLAY TO WIN - PHASE ONE: If you're a "newbie", rusty, or just have no idea how you present yourself in front of Agents and Casting Directors, this is the place for you! Instead of blowing your chance on meeting an Agent or Casting Director who you’re NOT YET READY TO MEET, you do the following instead… • Night One: - The first night, you will have the opportunity to socialize with the guest Talent Agent/Casting Director, my fellow Casting Director - partner Ian Weiss, and of course yours truly, as well as other actors. There will be wine, cheese, and other munchies. This is DEFINITELY not your average "meet and greet." No smell of desperation in this room! Please come prepared to learn, be yourself, and enjoy. Here's how it plays out: - First, you'll sit with us one-on-one for an evaluation of the work you've done thus far as an actor. Bring your demos, head shots, resumes, or whatever you want to show us. - After your one-on-one with Ian and myself, you'll return to the main area and socialize with the group. After everyone has had their turn, at 7:00 pm, the guest Talent Agent/Casting Director will arrive. At that point, you'll have the opportunity to sit and ask them questions about the industry, what they like and expect of actors, how better to market yourselves, and ultimately how to get Agents and Casting Directors to notice you. This will be your time to pick his/her brain, and get a feel for their personality. - You take Ian's and my evaluation home with you, to show you where you need improvement, before actually meeting the agent one-on-one during Night Two. You then have exactly ONE MONTH to get your ducks in order. If we think you need new pics, a new hair-do, a better outfit, more banter, less banter, etc, you'll have that time to prepare. • Night Two: (one month later): - Now is your chance to knock this agent's socks off and show them what you can do. This is YOUR time to hold the agent "hostage," one-on-one, in a safe, familiar environment. All our guest Agents and Casting Directors (as well as Ian and myself) are looking for new talent. We have specifically selected people who are interested in meeting you (as opposed to making money). The first guest Agent will be Tim Walsh from Atlas Talent. Night One: Thursday May 20th Night Two: will be Thursday July 1st. Price: $125 total for BOTH nights!!!!
